(no subject)

Finished Julian Barnes's -The Porcupine-. It was good. But it felt pretty minor compared to the other books of his that I've read. Of course, there's nothing wrong with a minor book, and it was an interesting story. It just seemed like Barnes didn't have a whole lot to say in this particular book. Nothing at all like -History of the World in 10 1/2 Chapters-.

And now I'm on to Pat Barker's latest, -Another World-. Mmm, Pat Barker. I love Pat Barker. I seem to have built up some rather high expectations.... Hope the book lives up to them.
