Ace, King, Knave is a three-and-a-half star read, I found. Engaging enough to keep me reading. It was frustrating because it had a lot of potential that seemed to fizzle out, which is a shame as I was excited to see it was a book with two female protagonists. It's worth checking out, but it doesn't have any of the visceral impact of AMLS.
