i'm a very very complex person

I remember just loving Crossing to Safety. I started reading Angle of Repose very late in my pregnancy with Suzannah; I also remember thinking it would be such a difficult book, but I didn’t find it to be at the time. Of course then I ended up going into labor a full month early and didn’t finish or go back to it. Well over seven years later it’s back on my to-read list, so I’m really interested to read your thoughts on it!
